TAMASOPO AND MICOS

   TAMASOPO

It is a town in the state of San Luis Potosi and means "place that drips". Here converge the lowlands of the Huasteca to the higher and cold lands of the state. It is located in the southeastern region, an area known as the Huasteca region.

Noted for its natural landscapes and for having in its territory with a variety of environments, rivers, waterfalls, basements and caves, lagoons, swamps, canyons, valleys and mountains.
Within the territory of the municipality find yourself in the famous waterfall of the same name

+ Tamasopo, the Springboard, the famous Bridge of God which is a step underground river that feeds the waterfall. This is a place frequented by those who practice eco-tourism and adventure as you can camp here as there is a designated area and enjoy a beautiful starry night away while listening to the fall of the waterfall, light of the moon, and the noise characteristic of an area of lush vegetation.
The water is very cold but once passed the chills you can give a good chapuson and have a great day full of fun.
You can camp in the area but if you prefer the comfort of a hotel you click here
For this tour I've also decided to include another beautiful place although the Huasteca Potosi is full of them, I seemed interezante including this site as waterfalls is also well recognized and appreciated by tourists, and no more rolls ...

MICOS

Micos falls  is one of the most visited tourist sites of the Huasteca and not just because of the proximity betwen this and the main clearinghouse for tourism in the region: Ciudad Valles, but by the various alternatives they offer activity the visitor.
To reach the waterfalls from Ciudad Valles Micos will take about 30 minutes.
The route to get there is the following: you must take the Federal Highway No. 70 Valles, Rio Verde, at the height of 7 km you turn right to visit a part of the state road which connects Ciudad Valles in the municipality of El Naranjo After traveling about 15 miles Masomenos ads really show you've arrived at The Waterfalls Micos, in some of the signs you will find that the place is also known as "Pago Pago" do not destantes waterfalls are the same, to go alone I will walk a mile dirt in good condition that any vehicle can travel without worrying. A total of 7 different waterfalls that make up this site

activities that can be found in monkeys are, walking down the side of the river, flora and fauna, there are many birds of different species, placid canoeing on the periphery of the waterfall looking closely at some waterfalls, swim, cool
and for the most thrown, Micos is the ideal place to practice canyoning tours waterfalls light and jump, all taking into account the basic safety measures according to each activity for some of them will have to preever to wear a helmet, life jacket and better than any local guide to tell us what are the appropriate places.
Remember always to preserve the beauty of our Mexico, no littering or debris, avoiding plastic bags and leave it but if you see a bag or a contaminated area take the time to pick up and deposit in appropriate locations.

THE SON HUASTECO

the Son HuastecoThe music and dance of the region known as Huapango (Nahuatl: on the stage), distant relative of the seguidillas and Spanish fandangos, two of the most dramatic forms of flamenco.Flamenco is the folk style of southern Spain, languid, dull, and slow in general reflect the sterility of their region. The dance is saturated with complicated footwork. But in La Huasteca, due to its natural abundance and the meter and rhythm of huapango, the deep song of flamenco style becomes a light and agile, full of joy. The falsetto voice passenger sustained tones, is reminiscent of flamenco singing, and is the hallmark of huapango.
